So, I ignored the dry weather here and consequently my favorite guitar cracked block to block on the back, pin to waist on one side. Do you folks prefer CA or HHG for crack fixes? Thanks... |

I prefer HHG, but lately I have been using fish glue for some repairs, especially if a longer open time is needed. The type of crack and how well the edges line up would dictate which one I would use. Cal |

HHG everytime. Not sure why CA has become so popular for crack repairs. With HHG you can have another go. . and another. . . and another. In fact the joint will get stronger with two or three applications of glue. Sometime in the future it might be easy to clean out if the crack becomes an open one and you have to go to a splint. |
